Philippine President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo led the launching of the commemorative stamp in honor of Ka Erdy.
Special stamp honors late INC leader
A special stamp honoring the late Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) Executive Minister Eraño G. Manalo is now available in post offices across the country.
President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo on Friday led the launching of the commemorative stamp, bearing the face of Manalo with INC Central Office in the background, at the religious group’s Central Office in Quezon City.
Arroyo, in her remarks, paid tribute to Manalo, also known as Ka Erdy, for his contributions to society not only as beloved head of the INC but also a civic leader. She also cited the works of Manalo and the INC in programs such housing, education, healthcare, and livelihood.
The launch of the special stamp coincided with the assumption of Manalo as INC Executive Minister back in 1963. Manalo died in August 31, 2009 due to cardiopulmonary arrest.
He was 84.
People who want to purchase the special stamp however would have to wait a while for the stamp’s second edition since the supply of the first edition is all gone.
Postmaster General Hector Villanueva said initial 100,000 copies of the special stamp have already ran out prior to Friday’s launch. Villanueva said the Philippine Postal Corporation plans to print 100,000 more as the second edition. The stamp, worth P7 each, will be sold until April 22, 2011.
Mrs. Arroyo also recalled how she appreciates the sound counsel and support given by Manalo in her governance, including facilitating peace in Mindanao.
The outgoing leader likewise profusely thanked Manalo and the INC for their support when she ran for senator, vice president, and president.

With these development, what was the point of honoring Manalo on a stamp?
Resbak,if you check the biography of Executive Minister Eraño G. Manalo, he took over the administration of your church after the death of his father, Felix Manalo, in 1963.
By such account, how can your INC be the “true” church when it was NON-EXISTENT before Felix Manalo was even born to exist in May 10, 1886?
How can such a “true” church be non-existent BEFORE 1886? So between the year 1 A.D. to 1866,all the souls were damned to hell because INC can never be found all throughout those centuries.
So what happened
Ask God.
dandelionne,
Hi, if you wanna know more about the doctrines of the INC kindly visit the INC locale nearest you. We believe misters are our authorities when it comes to the verses. I can answer you that those souls before the re-emergence of the TRUE Iglesia ni Cristo will be judged based on their hearts but I can not remember the specific verse, and if you will ask me if I could ask our ministers for you, you might as well ask a minister directly. ^^
That’s the usual INC stance when they are faced with a blank wall.
You see,ONE of the characteristics of a TRUE Church is a consistent presence all through out the centuries to be a bastion of faith and salvation among God’s people.
But where was the INC during the 12th,13th,14th,15th,16th,17,18th centuries for it to guide God’s people?
You didn’t get my point. If you wish to know the answer, please visit an Iglesia ni Cristo chapel and ask the question to a minister of the INC. They will provide with a thorough detailed answer. You may also want to watch the Iglesia ni Cristo Television Network online at GEMNET.TV OR NET-25.COM. Thank you.
karapatdapat lang bigyang parangal ang isang taong naglagak ng buong buhay sa ministeryo.
