Ivatan blogger, No Sense of History
Ivatan blogger fell short again, this time in history. No surprise there. As I’ve proven in my previous blog response to his articles against the Iglesia ni Cristo, Ivatan blogger a.k.a. losav do not research nor even understand what he’s writing about. He’s recycling bits and pieces of lie he stumbled on why trolling un-moderated forums. The other sad thing about it is that these lies were already debunked. But both funny and sad at the same time is that however many times this is pointed out to him, he still keeps coming back to those same sources and regurgitates the same garbage. He now adds his name to a long list of anti-Iglesia crusaders who draws blanks and gets shell shocked into silence when confronted with facts.
His latest article talks about history. He claims the Iglesia hates history and deny the historicity of the Catholic Church. Let’s examine his claims.
History. How far should you go?
He had one thing almost right. He said: “there should be no two churches claiming to be original”. Anyone can claim anything but like what President Obama of the U.S. recently say, “the proof of the pudding is in the eating!”. What should be said is that, no two churches that are totally opposites can be the same church built by Jesus Christ in the first century.
Ivatan blogger claim that the Iglesia ni Cristo “invented” the “Total Apostasy” doctrine, and that this doctrine was copied from the Mormons. First of all, the word “apostasy” was first used in the 14th century so it is idiotic to say that any person using it afterwards invented it. Similarly true with the word “total”. So “total apostasy” is not something someone invents. All it is a combination of two words to describe something that occured. So how far should we go? All the way to the first century church of Christ. The Catholic church was apostatized totally and one single but glaring proof of this is the pagan doctrine of the Trinity which the Catholic church practices.
The doctrine of the Trinity, which Catholic priest themselves admit is not based on bible teachings, was developed gradually over centuries, the first step being the declaration that Jesus Christ was God. This doctrine was created in a council presided not by a apostle or minister of God but by Emperor Constantine. This being the case, it’s not hard to accept that the trinity doctrine was based on the pagan Babylonian triune god practiced by Emperor Constantine.
This started what would end up as the total apostasy of the church that Christ built. Historians agree that the Catholic church, which claims to be the original Church of Christ, does not bear any resemblance at all to the original church built by Christ in the first century.
NOTE: History is witness when the first century church of Christ was a small religious movement in the middle of the majority pagan faith. This is the same status quo today, the Iglesia ni Cristo being the small religion and the Catholic church as the majority pagan religion. In the first century, the unprecedented success of the Church of Christ in bringing people back to God scared the majority religion and connived with the government to persecute it. This persecution culminated with the crucifixion of the Lord Jesus. In our time, the Catholic church led the persecution of the Iglesia ni Cristo which persist but in an ever decreasing degree even today because the Catholic church has considerably weakened over the centuries. We are witnessing the fulfillment of the prophesy that Babylon has fallen.
Ivatan blogger, confused and befuddled.
For some reason, Ivatan blogger equated “apostasy” with “death”. For the life of me, I could not find the connection between apostasy and death . He quoted Matthew 16 where it is written “…the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.” Death is a cessation of breath, and when you’re dead there is nothing else you can do let alone be apostatized.
He then proceeded to quote snippets from the Pasugo magazine, a publication of the Iglesia ni Cristo. I’m not even going to entertain those quotation because if I did I’d have to talk about context and relevancy and I think that would be too much for Ivatan blogger.
The Catholic church, a church built by an emperor
Ivatan blogger claims the Christian church was a Jewish sect. That can’t be further from the truth because the very purpose of Christ was to build his own church. But here is another startling thing about his blog. He failed to notice the second part of his quote where it states “the end of imperial persecution of Christians after the ascencion of Constantine the Great in AD 313 and the First Council of Nicaea in 325.” Here it is clear that an emperor, not an apostle, is the head of the church. This emperor, Constantine then initiated the first major adaptation of pagan practice into the Catholic church when the Council of Nicaea in 325 declared the Lord Jesus is also God. Here now before Ivatan blogger eyes is the naked truth which he failed to see.
The Church of Christ vs the Catholic church
Here is our chance to look at the difference in the teachings of two churches, the Iglesia ni Cristo and the Catholic church.
- Jesus Christ
- The bible is clear as to the nature of Jesus Christ; he is man endowed with great qualities by God and made Lord and Savious by God. God is the Almighty Father is heaven and is the only true God. This is the teaching of the Iglesia ni Cristo.
- The Catholic church teaches Jesus Christ is a true God which was declared by Emperor Constatine is 325 at the Council of Nicaea. None of the apostles was present because all have been dead for at lear 200 years.
There you go. One single doctrine which proves that beginning of what would turn into a total apostasy of the original church. There are many other pagan practices which were absorbed into the Catholic church as the centuries pass. Even today we are witness to the glaring truth, the Catholic church is a pagan religion.
