Case Unclosed by Arnold Clavio
It was 3 years ago when one of his subordinates charged him with homosexual rape and sodomy.
“It was my spiritual birthday. He summoned me and I went thinking he was going to give me a gift. As it turned out, that was the gift. The same thing he did to the previous year.”
This was the revelation of the subordinate, with sadness still reflected in his eyes. One can only imagine the grief victims of rape must carry.
“It was in May of 2000 when he summoned me to his room. I was shocked at what followed. At that time I couldn’t resist his advances. There is a teaching in Ang Dating Daan which says the messenger of God does not commit sin, whatever he does to you. At that time, I was really terrified of him and there is a teaching in Ang Dating Daan that one must Soriano him at all times. Obey him, otherwise you’ll be cursed. Something really really bad will happen to you if you disobey this supposed messenger of God.
“Rape was the charge. It is true, or is it a case of libel?” continues Clavio. “The case cannot proceed if the accused is not present because the accused needs to be arraigned in court” so say the lawyers of the subordinate. The subordinate thinks that if Soriano was in the Philippines, he will surely be in jail based on the evidences against him.
Clavio said he tried to contact Eli Soriano or any of his representatives to get their side of the story but did not get any response.
“If I don’t fight and speak up a lot of people will be in danger, and they need to know what he really is and that he is not sinless and he is not true.” the subordinate continues.
Soriano is a registered Brazilian resident and is currently seeking Brazilian citizenship. Brazil has no extradition agreement with Brazil. The case is held in court because Eli Soriano will not face his accuser. His next arraignment is August 11, 2009 at 8:30 am.
The Philippines anti-rape law Republic Act No. 8353 describes rape as any forceful act by man or woman against another.
Although Soriano denies any involvement or wrong doing, his appearance is the only way to clear things up.

If the case is dismissed, who dismissed it? How was it dismissed?
it was dismissed by the provincial prosecutor of pampanga. but the so-called secretary of justice at that time wrote a letter saying that the lawsuit should be passed to his office immediately which is a very questionable act since the secretary of justice can’t interfere or act on the case unless a petition was filed on the higher court. and at that time the decision of dismissal wasn’t released yet. and a petition can only be passed to the higher court after it was dismissed by the court of appeals. that’s a basic rule, you know. it’s a simple process – provincial court to court of appeals to the supreme court. now you people should know that it’s highly irregular!

That’s what you say. Of course, Soriano can go on Clavio’s show and defend himself. But he can’t can he? because he’s in hiding. he’s running from the law. once the interpol finds out where he is, they arrest him and send him back to the philippines.
He’s on the run? I wonder why that is. If you are a member of the INC of mr. manalo, you know why. He is not in hiding nor in the run. He is doing what a TRUE CHRISTIAN is tasked to do… that is to spread the WORD OF GOD to the whole world.
The show was poorly researched, if only mr. clavio didn’t get lazy and did his job professionally, he could have present a much better show, which is unbiased.
Please mr. Clavio, next time you present a show, make sure that it is well researched and not biased to a certain organization and self-serving.

As far as I know Mr Clavio contacted Mr Soriano and Mr Soriano’s lawyer to get their side of the story but no one responded to Mr Clavio. Mr Soriano still has a chance to redeem himself by appearing on Mr Clavio’s program if and when he chose to do so.
Arnold Clavio is such an honest guy. A fearless guy indeed. He is not afraid to show documentaries like this..Keep it up..For those members of “Dating Daan” please don’t be “too bias”, try to open up your mind. Try to figure out if you are still on the right path. This is nothing personal, but please don’t put out names that not included on this issue..INC, Christian or even other religions… The show wants to know the truth behind this case unclosed..that’s it!
excuse me for a bit.. but legally speaking, this program is clearly one-sided. why do i say such? well if you don’t know, no matter how bro. eli wanted to answer this accusation, he can’t because the court won’t allow him because it’s illegal to give opinions when the case is still being heard in court. if arnold clavio doesn’t know that basic rule, the he should not be a newscaster. how come they are claiming to be ‘sandigan ng katotohanan’?
