Mr catholicdefender2000 is not other that catholicivatan who went by the alisas losav. He used to own http://catholicivatan.blogspot.com which he uses to lambaste the INC. Once he was exposed as a gay prostitute, he decided to separate his real identity by creating two blogs, one in which he tries to potray himself as a upstanding gentle hearted catholic adherent http://kawakayan.blogspot.com and another, to spew invectives and lies against the INC as catholicdefender2000 http://catholicdefender2000.blogspot.com.

In any case, I’ve proven him to be a liar many times over and so I have the least interest at what he’s currently doing right now. All I know is that once a liar, always a liar and this has been proven again by the gay prostitute, catholicdefender2000.

In a forum I proposed the following debate to find out what Roman Catholics and Orthodox think of the title “one holy catholic church”. Who owns that title? Here’s the proposed debate:

MANILA, Philippines – The Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) wants President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III to abandon the “contraceptive mentality” as a response to fighting poverty.

In a statement made after the CBCP’s 101st Plenary Assembly, CBCP President and Tandag Bishop Nereo P. Ondimar said “poverty cannot be solved by promoting contraceptive education and programs. Education does not merely deal with knowledge and skills; rather it must promote values that are inherent to us as Filipinos.”

He added “parents have the primary right to educate their children and sex education is properly to be done in the family.”

CBCP has always been vocal about its opposition to the use of contraceptives and the implementation of the sex education program.

This time, the CBCP is pinning its hopes on the new administration.

“With the new government, we, Bishops, join the Filipino people in the hope that there will be changes that will truly bring good governance to the country,” Ondimar said.

The 2-day plenary assembly was attended by around 90 archbishops and bishops.

Among those who attended the plenary assembly were Archbishops Gaudencio Cardinal Rosales of Manila, Ricardo Cardinal Vidal of Cebu, Orlando Quevedo of Cotabato and Fernando Capalla of Davao.

These are bad times. The economy is in a downturn and business are suffering. All kinds of business endeavor are suffering including the oldest among them, the Roman Catholic church. Business newspaper reported the church is running a deficit!

Vatican Reports $5.1 Million Deficit on Communication Costs

July 10 (Bloomberg) — The Vatican reported a budget deficit of 4.2 million euros ($5.1 million) last year as expenses to fund its radio station and other media projects more than offset revenue from investments and donations.

The Holy See, the central administration for the Roman Catholic Church, had revenue of 250.1 million euros and expenses of 254.3 million euros, its press office said today in a statement. While the Vatican didn’t publish year-earlier figures today, it reported a 2008 deficit of 911,500 euros in July 2009.

The Holy See relies on earnings from investments in stocks, bonds and real estate to supplement donations from Catholics around the world. Its main expenses last year related to communication costs, including running the Vatican Radio, the statement said. The Vatican, home to Pope Benedict XVI and located across Rome’s Tiber River, has 2,762 employees

Next week, “Dan Rather Reports” investigates how the Roman Catholic Church has been hiding and shielding assets from victims of priest abuse. Some say the Church is behaving more like a big corporation than a sacred institution.

From the Vatican on down, the church has vowed to make peace with hundreds of victims of a decades-long epidemic of sex abuse by its priests. But “Dan Rather Reports” found evidence that the church has done just the opposite: Wealthy U.S. Dioceses from California to Delaware have claimed to be broke and have filed for bankruptcy to avoid paying damages; Bishops have exploited arcane corporate laws to shield church assets from liability; and, in San Diego, parish priests have been caught literally hiding money in safes, according to court records.

“If you or I did what the Diocese of San Diego did in that bankruptcy, we’d be charged with bankruptcy fraud, and we’d probably be in prison,” said attorney John Manly, who has represented dozens of priest abuse victims in lawsuits across the country.

“Dan Rather Reports” found evidence that some high in the church hierarchy have provided guidance.

“One of the comments that came from one of the bankruptcy attorneys is that, ‘These guys make Enron look like altar boys.’ Pardon the pun,” said Don McLean, who was abused as a 10-year-old altar boy, and sought damages from the San Diego diocese.

Throughout the “rule of the Harlots”, Pope John Xii(955-963), who was a grandson of Marozia, was guilty of every lewd crime. He violated widows and virgins, took up with his father’s mistress, and turned the Papal Palace into a brothel. Pope John XII met his end when he was killed while caught in the act of adultery by the woman’s enraged husband.

REUTERS – Germany’s Catholic bishops confirmed on Tuesday they had sent a damning confidential report on the disgraced retired Bishop Walter Mixa, to Pope Benedict to persuade him that the man had to be removed from his post.

Mixa resigned as bishop of the Bavarian city of Augsburg in April after being accused of slapping schoolboys decades ago and misusing diocesan funds.

Here are some details of major scandals in the Roman Catholic church:

* GERMANY

– Archbishop Robert Zollitsch, Germany’s top Catholic bishop, apologised in March for mistakes he made in failing to report to authorities one case of suspected abuse by a priest in the Freiburg diocese nearly 20 years ago.

– Prosecutors in Freiburg said on June 2 charges of aiding and abetting sexual abuse had been filed against Zollitsch.

– A Jesuit investigation, commissioned in January, last month cited 205 allegations of sexual abuse against priests at Jesuit schools in Germany, revealing decades of systematic abuse and attempts at a cover-up by the Roman Catholic order.

– Since January, media reports have documented more than 250 cases of abuse in Catholic schools, prompting the government to set up a round table to address abuse in Germany.

– Pope Benedict accepted the resignation of Mixa of Augsburg in Bavaria on May 8. Mixa became the first bishop to quit in the pope’s native Germany over church scandals.

* IRELAND

– May 2009 – The Commission to Inquire into Child Abuse issued a five-volume report saying that priests abused children for decades in Catholic-run institutions.

– Nov 2009 – The government-commissioned Murphy report into abuse in Dublin from 1975 to 2004 said Church authorities covered up cases of child sexual abuse until the mid-1990s.

– Feb 2010 – Benedict held crisis talks with 24 Irish bishops at the Vatican. The bishops promised him they were committed to cooperating with authorities.

– March 2010 – Benedict apologised to victims of child sex abuse by Irish clergy, saying he felt “shame and remorse”. He also announced a formal Vatican investigation of Irish dioceses, seminaries and religious orders. Irish victims accused the pope of evading the question of Vatican responsibility.

– The pope accepted the resignation of Bishop John Magee of Cloyne, accused of mishandling reports of sexual abuse in his diocese on March 24. He later accepted the resignation of two other Irish bishops.

– The Vatican on May 31 named two cardinals and three archbishops from England, the U.S. and Canada to lead its inquiry into sexual abuse by clergy in Ireland that is to begin in the autumn.

* UNITED STATES:

– June 2002 – The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops agreed to bar paedophile priests from ever again acting as clerics, but not necessarily to expel them from the priesthood.

– Feb 2004 – Independent researchers said 10,667 people accused U.S. priests of child sex abuse from 1950 to 2002. More than 17 percent of accusers had siblings who were also abused.

– July 2007 – The Archdiocese of Los Angeles agreed to pay $660 million to 500 victims of sexual abuse dating as far back as the 1940s, the largest compensation deal of its kind.

– March 2010 – The Vatican criticised The New York Times for its coverage of the scandals. The Vatican denied any cover-up in the abuse of 200 deaf boys by Reverend Lawrence Murphy from the 1950s to 1960s after the newspaper reported he was not defrocked despite warnings sent to the Vatican and Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, then the church’s top doctrinal official, now Pope Benedict.

* SWITZERLAND:

– The Swiss bishops’ conference said on June 2 that between January and May 2010 it had received reports of 72 perpetrators abusing 104 victims, up from 14 perpetrators and 15 victims in 2009.

* AUSTRIA:

- A rash of reports of child sexual abuse in Austrian Catholic institutions was triggered by the resignation of the arch-abbot of Salzburg’s St Peter’s monastery in March after admitting to sexually abusing a boy 40 years ago.

* AUSTRALIA:

- July 2008 – On a visit to Australia, Pope Benedict apologised for sex abuse by clergy. At that time there had been 107 convictions for abuse in the Australian Catholic church.

* BRITAIN:

- July 2000 – London Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O’Connor acknowledged making a mistake in a previous post in the 1980s by allowing a paedophile priest to continue working. The priest was jailed in 1997 for abusing nine boys.

* BELGIUM:

- Roger Vangheluwe, the bishop of Bruges, resigned on April 23 after admitting he had sexually abused a boy more than 20 years ago when in charge of the Bruges diocese.

* MEXICO:

- In March 2009 Pope Benedict ordered an inquiry into the Legionaries of Christ priestly order, whose founder was discovered to be a sexual molester. In 2006, the pope told the founder, Father Marcial Maciel, to retire to a life of “prayer and penitence”. Maciel died in 2008.

– His order acknowledged in 2009 that he had fathered at least one child with a mistress, and it formally apologised to his victims in March 2010.

Catholic church dragged into public works scandal that has sent shockwaves through Italian government

A senior Vatican cardinal is under investigation for corruption, dragging the Catholic church into a public works scandal that has sent shockwaves through the Italian government.

Italian media reported today that Cardinal Crescenzio Sepe, the archbishop of Naples, was suspected of striking cosy deals while head of the Congregation for the Evangelisation of Peoples, the Vatican congregation that uses proceeds from a property empire including 2,000 Rome apartments to fund missionary efforts.

Sepe allegedly oversaw the sale in 2004 of a building in Rome to the then transport minister, Pietro Lunardi, for the suspiciously low price of €4.16m, newspapers reported, adding that magistrates wanted to know why Lunardi then freed up €2.5m in state funding the following year for the congregation to create a museum in its headquarters, and why that museum never opened.

Magistrates are reportedly looking into Sepe’s links to builder Diego Anemone and former public works official Angelo Balducci, both suspected of being at the centre of a web of alleged kickbacks and corrupt state construction contracting.

Italy’s industry minister, Claudio Scajola, has already resigned after claims that Anemone paid €900,000 to subsidise the purchase of his luxury Rome flat.

Newspapers said magistrates suspected Sepe and Anemone were involved in furnishing accommodation on Rome’s Via Giulia to Guido Bertolaso, Italy’s powerful civil protection chief.

The case has shed light on the links between Roman politics and the Vatican.

Balducci was a papal usher but was dismissed when the corruption inquiry brought to light his suspected involvement with a Vatican chorister in a male prostitution ring. The Vatican said it hoped the investigation could be wrapped up fast “to eliminate any shadows, be they on the person [Sepe] or church institutions”.

Catholics God has a mother!

I’m probably not too far off if I oversimplify classical conditioning to mean that repeating a false statement over and over from childhood would make a perfectly normal human being to believe that that particular statement is true.

Take for example the Catholics praying the rosary. Part of it is praying three times of a so-called prayer named “Hail Mary”. How does the Hail Mary go?

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of death. Amen.

Now we all know that God, the Almighty Father in heaven is eternal, meaning God has no beginning and therefore, no mother.  Tell that to the Catholics.
